Monthly goals report August 2020
Here I’ll post what I’m hoping to complete this month from my bucket list or just my monthly to do’s.
You can check my progress live on this amazing website here. (Not sponsored, promise😊)
In my Blue
Monday’s journal post: I’ll bring some weekly updates from This was list. But as I’ve
just started today, I’m going to start this series next Monday. If something is
done today, I’ll place it in this post.
And then some
blogposts with more detailed separate updates if I thought the challenge was
extra fun. I try to aim to post all my posts on Monday, so you'll know when to expect my posts.
- Create a blog on Blogger (As I’ve created this post, it’s obvious I’ve checked this box. )
- Post
my first blogpost.(Also already checking this. Woohoo! I’m on a roll🥳)
- Start the challenge to blog once a week for a year: Better start those good blog habits immediately.
- Make
a fun self-portrait for the about me section here on my blog and on my social media accounts.
- Create
an Instagram-account and link it to my blog: I’ve never used this platform, so
I need some time figuring everything out.
- Create a Goodreads-account, make some standard lists and list it on my blog (Done, you can check it here.)
- Clean up the inbox of my e-mail: This is urgent, because right now it’s a big mess.
- Clean up my PC: Need to clean up my harddisk as it’s getting a bit cluttered. Also clean my pc literally. I’m going to see if there are some safe ways to get this fancy box shiny again.
- Start to update my French a bit: I’ve
definitely got some basics under control, but since I want to travel more in
the future and I want to move to France (I’ve set out a three year-plan, whish me luck🤞), so it’s
probably best that I can speak this language fluently. This month I want to at
least practice e-mailing and calling in
Frenching.
- Set
up a budget and stick to it: As for a lot of people, money is tight for me
right now. We’ve had a lot of bad luck during this Covid-19 pandemic. So it’s
best to get a grip on this fast.
- Make
a cleaning schedule and stick to it: Lots of planning this month. 😊 My son is four months old today and he’s
playing more independently, so I’ve got more and more time to clean properly. I
had some extra help the first months, luckily in Belgium they’ve got some back-ups in the health system for new moms. I was very happy with that one, as I’ve had
more time to bond with that little miracle.
- Visit
all the Belgian museum digital tours: The part of this list above are mainly some must do’s,
but let’s have some fun-do's too. Now with the pandemic lots of museums have made fun experiences
for digital tours of their museum. This is perfect to do on my smartphone
before going to bed. If it's a lot, I'll probably limit it to the one's from Antwerp first.
- Update
my skills for the latest Microsoft Office’s Excel. I use this program a lot to make schedules and lists. So updating can't hurt
- Take
a free online class: Probably checked with the Excel or the French goal, so I can
check this box off from my bucket list. Héhé, checking boxes feels so good. 😌
- Make
a list of 101 quotes that inspire me: Great way to get a first board on my
Pinterest-account.
- Make a list of 101 songs I could listen to forever..
Wow, seems
like my plate is very full this month. Let’s see what I actually can
accomplish, I’ve got eleven days before August ends. I’m curious if I’m able to do all
this. It definitely helps to post this online. That way it’s probably more embarrassing
for me, if I only do like a few tasks on this list.
Are you
challenging yourself this month? I’ll definitely have to push myself a bit with
these heatwaves. It was 38°C/100°F here in my appartment, so I definitely
feel like I’ve molten into a pile of sweat. Most of my energy went to keeping
my son cool. So now that the temperatures are dropping I should be able do a
lot more.
